Kinderhood Rewards — Program Terms & Privacy
1. About the program
Kinderhood Rewards is a free loyalty program run by Kinderhood Distribution Inc., 125 - 5751 Cedarbridge Way, Richmond, BC V6X 2A8 ("Kinderhood", "we"). One points balance works across the Kinderhood Family: kinderhood.ca, tenderleaftoys.ca, Buy with Kailey, and in person at our showroom, markets and trade shows, plus any store we add later.
You can join if you are 18 or older, live in Canada or the United States, and shop as a consumer. Wholesale and trade accounts are not eligible. Joining is free: enter your name and email on a Kinderhood Family store, at rewards.kinderhood.ca, or by scanning a Kinderhood QR code at an event. One membership per person; your email is your sign-in.
2. Earning points
You earn 5 points for every $1 CAD of merchandise you buy, calculated on the subtotal after discounts and before tax and shipping, rounded down to a whole point. Purchases on a US store earn at the same rate on the USD subtotal, converted at a fixed rate we set. Points land when your order is paid, or when our team adds an in-person purchase to your account.
These do not earn points: taxes, shipping, gift cards, free gifts, items paid with a money-off reward, and orders placed through wholesale accounts.
Bonus points, each at the amount shown in your account when earned:
Welcome bonus of 500 points, unlocked when your first order is paid
500 points for a published product review, once per product
100 points for following a Kinderhood Family account on social media, once per network, unlocked with your welcome bonus
A birthday bonus of 500 points per registered child, once per child per year (see section 6)
Referral rewards (see section 7)
We may run limited-time boosts, such as double points on a launch weekend or at an event. The boost's dates and scope are shown where it applies.
If an order is refunded or cancelled, the points it earned are removed, including points you have already used; your balance may go below zero until you earn again. Exchanges earn or remove the difference.
3. Using points
Each point is worth $0.01 CAD toward a reward. The minimum redemption is 500 points. Rewards are shown in the Rewards tab and are either money off or a free gift.
Money off: a reward is issued as a single-use discount code tied to your account email, valid for 30 days, for one order with a subtotal of at least 3 times the reward's value. One money-off reward per order. It cannot be combined with other discount codes or sitewide sale codes. If you don't use the code before it expires, the points return to your balance.
Free gifts: items in the gift catalogue are redeemed for points while stock lasts and may change month to month. A gift ships free with your next online order from the store you choose, or can be picked up at our Richmond showroom within 30 days. One free gift per order or per visit. A free gift may be combined with one money-off reward. If a gift is not collected in time, the points return to your balance.
In person, our team redeems rewards for you when they scan your member card; the matching discount is applied at the register.
Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, applied to past purchases, or transferred to another person. If an order containing a reward is returned, the reward is treated as used unless the gift item itself is returned.
4. Expiry and value
Points expire if you go 12 months without earning any. Redeeming alone does not reset the clock. We email you 30 days before points lapse, if you've allowed those emails. Points have no cash value, are not property, and cannot be sold or transferred. Balances transferred from an earlier program start their expiry clock on the date of transfer.
5. Member card and in-person use
Your member card is the QR code in your account. Show it at checkout at our showroom or any Kinderhood booth; our team scans it to add points for your purchase or to redeem a reward. Points for in-person purchases are added by staff based on the pre-tax amount of your receipt. The code identifies you, so keep it to yourself; staff may ask for your name or phone number to confirm it's you. If you think someone else has used your card, contact us and we'll issue a new one.
6. Children's birthdays
You may register one child yourself with a first name and birth month and day. The birthday bonus is paid once per child per year, only to accounts that have placed a paid order in the previous 12 months, and only for children registered at least 30 days before the birthday.
To register up to 3 children in total, email rewards@kinderhood.ca with any document showing the child's name and date of birth, with the photo and any ID number covered. We check it, mark the child as verified, and delete the email; we keep only the first name, birthday, and who verified it and when. Birthdates are locked after saving, with one correction allowed within 24 hours. You can remove a child from your account at any time.
7. Referrals
Share your referral link with friends who have never shopped with the Kinderhood Family. They receive $5 off their first order; you receive 500 points once their first order is paid and past the 30-day return window. Referrals to yourself or your own household (same address, phone or device) are not rewarded. We may cap the number of rewarded referrals per account and may withhold rewards we believe are not genuine.
8. Fair use
One account per person. Creating multiple accounts, using disposable or variant email addresses, registering children who are not yours, self-referring, or sharing reward codes outside your household is against these terms. We may hold a bonus for review, remove points earned in breach, or suspend or close an account. Where we close an account for abuse, unused points are forfeited. If we make a mistake, tell us within 60 days and we'll put it right.
9. Privacy
We collect what the program needs and nothing more. The table shows each item, why we hold it, and how long.

Where your data goes: our rewards system runs on servers in the United States (Railway). We share data only with providers we use to run the program: Shopify (orders and discount codes), Square (in-person sales), and Resend (the service that delivers our emails). We don't sell your data and we don't share it with other retailers.
Children: we never create accounts for children or contact them. The child's first name and birthday are given by the parent or guardian, used only for the birthday bonus and gift ideas you've opted into, and can be removed by you at any time.
Your rights: you can see, correct, download or delete your account data from the Account tab or by emailing rewards@kinderhood.ca. Deleting your account removes your points and children's details; we keep only the accounting records the law requires. This program is operated under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA. Our privacy officer can be reached at the address in section 1 or at rewards@kinderhood.ca.
10. Changes and contact
We may change earn rates, rewards, bonuses and these terms. Points already earned keep their value for at least 60 days after any change that reduces it. Material changes are shown in your account and emailed if you've allowed program emails; continuing to use the program means you accept them. We may end the program with 90 days' notice, during which you can still redeem your balance.
